Assistance During COVID-19 Outbreak

March 26, 2020

Dear Residents,

We hope this finds you staying safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Here at Old Oak, we recognize our duty as a reliable housing provider to offer support to our residents whenever possible. This is especially important during this unprecedented time.

We want to ensure residents are aware of options the federal government has put in place to support residents who may be suffering financial hardship related to job loss, additional burdens caring for family, or illness due to COVID-19.

Below please find some benefits you or a family member may be eligible for:

  • Provides up to $900 every two weeks for up to 15 weeks, to those affected by COVID-19
  • Who can apply:

o Workers - including self-employed - who are quarantined or sick with COVID-19

Another way we can help is by working directly with those that feel they need assistance above what the government is providing. If that is you, please contact customerservice@oldoak.ca or call 519-641-1248, ext 101 to discuss potential options.

The health and safety of our residents and employees continues to be our number one priority. Together with our industry peers, we are in contact with all levels of government and will continue to work with them to find additional initiatives to further support our residents.

Please watch for further communications or updates as we work through this together. In the meantime, we urge you to follow the recommended health precautions, for everyone’s health and safety.

Take care everyone and stay safe!
