New Years in London!
Wondering what to do this New Years Eve in lovely London? There are loads of activities and options:
All Ages and FREE! :
Victoria Park comes alive with outdoor skating, live music performances at the band shell, and the opportunity for children to meet their favorite superheroes all while you enjoy a hot chocolate and take in the thousands of lights strung on Victoria Park’s trees.
This free, fun and family-friendly event brings thousands of Londoners together to enjoy a magical night filled with entertainment for all ages.
On New Year’s Eve, experience two fantastic fireworks displays – the first at 9 p.m. (perfect for kids and families) and then again at the stroke of midnight.
The local band, Tell It To Sweeney, has been selected as the winner of the Road to New Year’s Eve contest, and will perform on stage in Victoria Park on December 31.
Tell It To Sweeney will be joining an entertainment lineup that includes the Forest City London Music Awards All-Stars, The Thinking Caps, Ill at Will, and the Sweet Adelines.
Something a little more lively? :
All along Richmond Row there are an assortment of bars, pubs, and restaurants which are ringing in the new year with delicious food and drinks! Some may require reservations for this celebratory night, so make sure to call ahead if you have a large party!
Hosting your own Celebration?
No cab required, no lines, no cover charge (or at least, not at our place!). Always a great way to bring in the New Year is some casual drinks, snacks, and party favours. All without the big mark up! For everyone living at an Old Oak apartment, it is important to remember that although you deserve to bring in the new year with a big bang, your neighbour deserve to celebrate however they want too, even if that means a quiet night in. Please be respectful of your neighbours wishes this season!
Happy New Year Everyone!
